Here are some other Web sites we have found helpful, interesting, and like-minded. The Teaching Home magazine has been a tremendous encouragement to Christian home schoolers for two decades. Joy Marie has been privileged to be published in The Teaching Home for over ten years. They currently publish only an e-mail newsletter, but hope to be publishing a printed magazine again soon. Our link takes you to the section of their web site that still has some of Joy Marie's (and others') articles for you to read. But feel free to explore the rest of their site if you are not yet familiar with The Teaching Home. Here is a list of Joy Marie's articles in The Teaching Home that can be accessed through their web site: Training Children in Responsibility The Goal of Our Instruction is Love Reading Shapes a Child's Character Developing Gifts and Interests Through Personalized High School Electives High School Course Design and Record-Keeping |

Vessels of Mercy is the ministry of a dear friend of mine. If you are looking for modest dresses, skirts, blouses, jumpers, and head coverings (a very nice draping scarf) for some of the best prices anywhere, contact my friend, Michelle Stace. Her site also contains devotional poetry and thoughtful writing from a Conservative perspective. Here is our daughter in a Vessels of Mercy dress. |

While I recommend Michelle for her great prices, here is another good dress making source you can turn to if Michelle is busy or doesn't have what you are looking for. I haven't received their catalog for a while but remember aprons, bonnets, and bloomers from this source as well as modest dresses. They also have much more modest bathing suits than you can find in stores (although when we ordered one for Jennaya years ago we asked for extra length). |
